Prime Satellite Broadband, the Service Division of Prime Satcom Consulting Ltd is pleased to hear of the successful launching of Avanti Communications’ HYLAS 1 broadband satellite on 26 November 2010. The satellite is now undergoing the necessary tests to prove all is working correctly and gain required approvals from the authorities. We expect the satellite to be operational in March 2011. HYLAS 1 is the first broadband Ka-band satellite to be launched over Europe to bring affordable satellite communications to hundreds of thousands who currently are unable to get broadband by other means.

Prime Satellite Broadband as a successful Avanti wholesaler will be setting up their own virtual network service on HYLAS 1 to provide standard and tailored services to fixed site residential, business and government customers in the UK , Ireland and much of Western Europe . With the new satellite we will provide faster and competitively priced broadband services to all.

Prime Satellite Broadband will be setting out a plan to convert all current customers on the Avanti network to use the new HYLAS 1 satellite. All customers will be individually contacted in February 2011 to ensure this plan is implemented quickly and efficiently.
